What is the Gospel?
It was God’s heart to create man and be in a relationship with him. Our hearts are bent on rebellion and wanting to be in control and we rebel against God’s loving leadership. God knew and had a plan to redeem His creation through His one and only son Jesus. Jesus came and re-established His kingdom on earth. Jesus taught us what it looks like to live in the new kingdom. Then Jesus died on the cross to make complete payment for our rebellion and sin. On the 3rd day Jesus rose from the dead in kingdom power. Because of who Jesus is and what he has done, he calls us to respond to the power of the kingdom, through daily repentance, belief, and following. Jesus has called us to make disciples who respond daily also. God empowers us with the gift of His Holy Spirit, so we can follow Him and love others.
